Connect and set up

Choose the connector that fits your phone. Install the Piconizer app and allow access to the photos and videos you want to save. Check current app and device compatibility before ordering.

Copy photos and videos

Start a backup in the app and keep the drive connected until it finishes. Transfer time depends on the files, phone and connection; a large first backup can take longer.

Verify and keep a second copy

Open saved photos and videos from the drive to check they work. Use a compatible USB connection to copy important files to a computer or another storage device.

Copying files does not automatically free phone storage. Before manually deleting originals, check that the files you need are saved and readable, and keep a second copy. With iCloud Photos enabled, deleting a photo on your phone also deletes it from iCloud and other synced devices. Read the backup and storage guide

Cloud-only photos must download to your phone before they can be copied to Piconizer. This requires an internet connection, enough phone space and sufficient battery. How to back up iCloud photos
