Qubii Features
Step 1
Go to Setting > Backup Item > Backup Camera Roll > Turn on "Backup iCloud Contents”
Step 2
Go Setting > Click backup items > Turn on“Download using Wi-Fi only"
Since you will be using data to download photos from iCloud, we recommend using Wi-Fi to download from iCloud.
You should be able to download your photos from iCloud to Qubii successfully while your phone is connected to Wi-Fi.
PLEASE NOTE:
To ensure you don’t exceed your data limits when backing up, Qubii will only backup your iCloud photos when you’re on Wi-Fi.
- Please make sure that you have enough space on your phone to download items from iCloud to your device then to Qubii. You may need to backup photos local on your device first, then delete them to create space on your device to download your iCloud photos for backup.
- If you receive a warning message asking you to login, please go to your iPhone’s Settings > Tap Your name at the top > scroll to the bottom to sign out and sign in again with your Apple ID. Then you should be successful in backing up your iCloud photos to Qubii.
It may take a few hours to a few days to offload your photos from iCloud to Qubii, depending on the quantity of photos and your Wi-Fi speed.
This is likely due to not having enough space on your device to download your iCloud photos before transferring to Qubii. Apple’s policy does not allow outside apps to download directly from iCloud, therefore in order to backup your iCloud content your photos will be downloaded on your device first and then transferred to Qubii for backup.
To create more space in your device, try the steps below:
1. Turn off backup iCloud contents in your Qubii app > Settings > Backup Items > Backup Camera Roll > Turn off “Backup iCloud” feature.
2. Return to the app’s Main Menu, tap “Full Backup” to finish backing up your phone’s contents.
3. Then proceed to remove the contents that’s been backed up to Qubii from your phone by going to your Qubii App > Settings > Backup Details > Remove Backed Up Items.
Once Qubii has removed the backed up photos from your device, it will all still be in your trash album. To ensure you create enough space on your iPhone to download your iCloud photos, make sure to delete this trash album to be able to offload some iCloud content.
*We recommend having more than 1 backup to be safe. Please double check your backup on Qubii (or computer) before deleting your iPhone’s content.
4. Now that you have created more space in your phone, turn on the backup iCloud feature to backup your iCloud photos.
- Go to Settings > Backup Item > Backup Camera Roll >Turn on"Backup iCloud Contents”
- Go Setting> Click Backup Items > Turn on“Download using Wi-Fi only”
If all of this fails, please reach out to us by going to “Contact Us” in your Qubii App.

Qubii can backup social media photos from Facebook, Instagram, Flickr or Twitter. Qubii only back up photos and videos that's been uploaded by the user, not the text. To set up your Social Media backup, go to Qubii app > settings > Backup Items > log into your social media account
Please note: photos from Facebook fan pages or tagged by others cannot be downloaded, only photos uploaded by the user can be downloaded onto Qubii's microSD.
Mini-Albums is a feature that allows you to view backed up photos without needing to connect your phone to Qubii. You can turn on this feature in Qubii’s app Settings > Backup Items > Backup Camera Roll.
Qubii’s App will generate a smaller size of your backed up photos and store it in the Qubii app. This feature allows you to view photos anytime, without having to plug into Qubii. But please be aware that this will also take some memory space of your iPhone.
If you don’t want Qubii to create a Mini-Album of your backed up photos, please go to your Qubii app’s Settings > Backup Items > Backup Camera Roll > turn off "Mini-Album".
